Regarding the submitted sites for development in Nawton and Beadlam, I feel there has been enough development recently in Nawton and there is not any need for new housing. Our green spaces need to be left as such and any more building development would drastically change the nature of our village, particularly the large area down Lowfield Lane. Nawton is a small village which has no shop and poor bus services and is already divided by a busy main road. Beadlam is even smaller and quieter and would be completely changed by any large development. If any developments must be considered, then the area in Beadlam to the south of the A170 would be preferable, IF a road could be build for school buses to access Ryedale school to make Gale Lane less of an accident waiting to happen. But it would feel like another village almost as the main road is a big dividing line between the two sides.
I have probably missed other information regarding this development, so I apologise if I’m asking something which has already been made public, but can you confirm how many houses this development consists of and whether this is actually going ahead please? Just for context to my enquiry, I live at the top of Gale Lane.
